Holy Ziguang Shang Shi, who was full of wisdom and dharma-power, held a Soul Releasing Rite for the people in Taiwan who died in the unexpected disaster and could not reincarnate, in respond to the pleading of some Guang Huan Mi Zong Angels and some followers from Taiwan. At a chosen time in a chosen day, the Soul Releasing Rite was held in the Palace of Great Brilliance in the Western Shrine. It brought the wandering souls, which were enveloped by darkness, brightness and the hope of reincarnation. When the holy bell rang, following the order of Holy Master, the Red-robe Preachers of Guang Huan Mi Zong appeared in the Palace of Great Brilliance. They looked so magnificent and serene; the resplendent red light illuminated the whole Palace.

Great merciful Holy Ziguang Shang Shi struck an inverted bell and a wooden fish, and Red-robe Preachers all chanted Guang Huan Mi Zong supreme secret mantra, giving chances to the dead souls to reincarnate as quickly as possible. The suffering dead souls, which were wandering in front of the Hell Gate but couldn’t get in, were happily cheering and gratefully kowtowing. Soon they transformed into countless light spots, entered the space tunnel through light columns and spirally flew towards the God of Earth. Merciful Holy Master asked the God of Earth to let the released souls be reincarnated as early as possible, and become Guang Huan Mi Zong Angels, who disseminate gospel of Buddha, and contribute their effort for postponing the coming of doomsday. All the Red-robe Preachers and Preaching Angels were deeply moved by the immeasurable mercy of Holy Ziguang Shang Shi and burst into tears for the countless sufferings of dead souls.
